Tragic End – The Untimely Death of XXXTentacion

Birth, Parents, and Education

XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, was born on January 23, 1998, in Plantation, Florida. His parents were Cleopatra Bernard and Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy. Jahseh led a difficult early life through much movement from place to place. This would usually result in brawls among other issues leading to expulsion from middle school.

Most times, his father stayed in jail while his mom struggled with her own demons making him live with different relatives around. Additionally, he got into legal trouble charged with robbery and assault at some point. None of that stopped him though as he turned out to be inclined to music as an outlet for expressing himself when facing hardships. Still, despite these challenges, he found comfort in music and started his journey as both rapper and singer.

Musical Journey

XXXTentacion’s debut in music occurred in 2013 where he began by posting songs on SoundCloud like many new artists do nowadays. He titled it “Vice City.” Jahseh utilised a basic microphone along with minimal setup hardware for recording his songs. Nonetheless, given all these struggles still people noticed his uniqueness as well as raw talent immediately.

His breakthrough came with the song “Look at Me,” which became very popular and helped him reach a wider audience. XXXTentacion had a unique and diverse music style. Jahseh Onfroy also known as XXXTentacion was tragically murdered on June 18, 2018. He got shot outside a motorbike shop in Deerfield Beach, Florida.  Jahseh had just withdrawn money from the bank and was leaving the dealership when two armed men approached him. They then demanded he hand over all his possessions while robbing him before shooting him dead.

After stealing his bag containing fifty thousand dollars, two robbers took off from there. In fact four men were subsequently arrested and charged with killing him. Robbery was the reason behind XXXTentacion’s death. They specifically targeted XXXTentacion because they knew he had lots of money on him at that time.  These attackers’ main aim was to take away his cash as well as precious things.

Relationship

There are only a couple of relationships worth mentioning regarding XXXTentacion! He was in a relationship with Geneva Ayala, which was quite public.  However, their relationship was troubled and led to serious legal issues for Jahseh, including charges of domestic violence.  He died expecting a baby by Jenesis Sanchez who happened to be his girlfriend at the time; she has since borne his son, Gekyume Onfroy seven months after her boyfriend’s demise.

Jahseh Onfroy, popularly known as XXXTentacion, was highly influential on social media. He reached out to his followers through platforms like Twitter, SoundCloud and Instagram.  There are 20.8 million fans of him on Instagram, while X’s account @makeouthill has a following of 30.2 K followers. At the time of his passing away, Jahseh Onfroy (known as XXXTentacion), had an estimated net worth of $5 million dollars approximately earned from music business including record sales and shows among others.  Furthermore, it is important to note that he became wealthy due to his popularity on such online platforms like Sound cloud and YouTube among others . Despite being young at age , he was able to reach far in terms of wealth.
