Sivasri Skandaprasad: The Carnatic Singer Set to Marry BJP MP Tejasvi Surya
Sivasri Skandaprasad is a Chennai, India native who has performed as a Carnatic singer and Bharatanatyam artist. She has been considered to have extraordinary potential in Indian classical arts. Sivasri holds B.Tech in Bio-Engineering from SASTRA University and MA in Bharatanatyam from Chennai University. Currently, she is taking an MA in Sanskrit from Madras Sanskrit College.
Early Musical Journey and Training
She is trained in Carnatic music under the tutelage of Guru Sri A. S. Murali. She has performed in such prestigious sabhas as Brahma Gana Sabha, Kartik Fine Arts, and Narada Gana Sabha in Chennai. She has been on tour with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to Denmark and the Republic of Korea.

Passion for Indian Cultural Heritage
As her passion for carrying forward Indian musical heritage, the singer is enthusiastically involved in making Indian cultural and heritage rich once again. Skandaprasad has supported several TV ads and playback assignments in films – Kannada release of “Ponniyin Selvan – Part 2”. As a devotional song in Karnataka, “Poojisalende Hoogala Thande” was welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the spirit for devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram.
Ahuti Founder
Sivasri Skandaprasad also happens to be the founder of Ahuti – a school devoted to Indian art forms – an endeavour that intends to enrich and nourish the future generation on these lines. The music videos and the various music-related items featured on her channel on YouTube attract considerable audiences.

The two share a passion for racing-relay and endurance races, cycling, and other sports activities. Tejasvi Surya is an advocate who is currently the Member of Parliament of the Bengaluru South constituency and is the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
