Amit Shah’s campaign.

Campaign of Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Gujarat. Amit Shah, a prominent BJP Leader, has been actively participating in the election process. Here are some key highlights:

  1. Gandhinagar Seat:
    • Amit Shah is contesting from the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, which the BJP has held since 1984. His victory here is almost certain, given the party’s stronghold in the region.
    • The BJP’s target for Amit Shah is to secure a victory margin of at least 10 lakh votes, which is double his 2019 margin1. This ambitious goal reflects the party’s determination to maintain its dominance in Gandhinagar.
    • Shah’s family members, including his wife Sonalben, son Jay, and daughter-in-law Rishita, actively supported his campaign in Gandhinagar.
    • Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who represents the Ghatlodia Assembly segment within Gandhinagar, also campaigned for Shah.
  2. Assembly Segments:
    • To achieve the 10 lakh vote margin, the BJP must perform exceptionally well in all seven Assembly segments that fall within the Gandhinagar constituency.
    • In 2007, Amit Shah won the Sarkhej Assembly seat by an impressive margin of 2.35 lakh votes, the highest in the state that year.
    • Shah’s association with the Gandhinagar seat goes back years, as he served as the election manager for L.K. Advani when Advani was the MP from Gandhinagar. Advani held this seat six times between 1991 and 2014, except for 1996 when Atal Bihari Vajpayee contested and won from here1.
  3. Campaign Efforts:
    • Amit Shah’s family played a crucial role in his campaign due to his national poll duties. They actively engaged with voters and ensured a strong presence on the ground.
    • His son Jay addressed a voter awareness campaign, urging people to increase voter turnout in the Bopal area of Ahmedabad.
    • Gujarat BJP president C.R. Paatil set the ambitious 10 lakh vote margin target for Shah, surpassing the previous record for the highest margin in Maharashtra in 20141.

Amit Shah’s campaign reflects the BJP’s determination to secure a resounding victory in Gujarat. As the election unfolds, all eyes are on the Gandhinagar seat, where Shah’s leadership and electoral strategy are being put to the test.

As the election season unfolds, Gujarat remains a crucial battleground. Both the BJP and Congress are actively campaigning to secure their foothold in the Lok Sabha. Stay informed with live updates on Lok Sabha Election 2024 by following reliable news sources.
