Justice Sanjiv Khanna was sworn in as the 51st Chief Justice of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan. It was a very important event. The oath was given by President Droupadi Murmu, and it was the start of a new era in the Indian courts. The Center made the name of Justice Sanjiv Khanna public on October 24, 2024, after Justice Chandrachud asked them to do so. He or she has been a part of many important Supreme Court rulings. He is renowned for having a sharp legal mind and always doing what is right. He backed the historic removal of Article 370, which gave Jammu and Kashmir special status, and made decisions that supported the integrity of electronic voting machines (EVMs). He also got rid of the controversial plan for electoral bonds.
