A chilling CCTV footage has emerged, capturing the moments leading up to the Reasi terror strike in Jammu and Kashmir. This incident, which occurred on Sunday, resulted in the loss of 10 lives and left many others injured. Let’s delve into the details:

  • The targeted bus was carrying pilgrims, en route from the Shiv Khori temple to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine near Teryath village in Poni area.
  • As the bus wound its way through the picturesque terrain, terrorists launched a sudden ambush.
  • Gunfire erupted, causing the driver to lose control. The bus careened off the road and plunged into a deep gorge.
  • The aftermath was devastating: 10 lives lost, and numerous passengers injured.

Heightened Security Measures

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) swiftly dispatched a team to assist local authorities in investigating the terror attack. Security forces sprang into action, deploying additional personnel to combat outposts in the vicinity. Drones now scour the area, aiding in the search for the perpetrators. Injured passengers received prompt medical attention, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

Mohammad Bhat, DIG Reasi Udhampur range, and Rayees reached the spot to assess the situation.

Initial reports indicated that terrorists had fired upon the bus, destabilizing it and causing the fatal plunge.

The identities of the passengers remain unconfirmed, but they are not locals.

The Shiv Khori shrine was secured, and area domination efforts were initiated.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh decried the attack, emphasizing its reprehensible nature.

Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, also expressed condemnation.
