Chander Prakash Becomes First Crorepati of KBC 16, Wins ₹1 Crore and a Car
Mumbai, September 26, 2024 – It was an exciting episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) where Chander Prakash became the first crorepati of the 16th season. The show was hosted by the famous Amitabh Bachchan, and Chander won ₹1 crore and a brand-new car. It was an emotional moment.

The options were
A. Somalia
B. Oman
C, Tanzania
D. Brunei.
Using the ‘Double Dip’ lifeline, Chander correctly answered Tanzania.
Although Chander Prakash successfully answered the ₹1 crore question, he chose to quit when faced with the ₹7 crore question:
“Who was the first recorded child born to English parents in North America in 1587?”
Without any lifelines left, he decided not to risk his winnings. When asked to guess, he chose Virginia Dare, which turned out to be the correct answer.
Getting to the KBC hot seat was hard for Chander on a personal level
In his story, he talked about how he had health problems from birth and had seven surgeries, with an eighth one still possible. Many people have been inspired by how strong and determined he was.
