Suddenly, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang came clean about killing well-known politician Baba Siddique, so alerting Bollywood star Salman Khan. The gang’s social media post raised serious concerns about the safety of well-known personalities and led to more security around Khan’s residence.

Baba Siddique, a three-time MLA and former Maharashtra minister was shot dead near the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, in Bandra East on Saturday night. The murder has sent shockwaves through the city, with speculation initially swirling about a Bishnoi gang linked to the daring crime.

This was verified on Sunday following a Facebook post by Shibu Lonkar, who was thought to be a gang associate and attesting to responsibility.

Bishnoi Gang Threatens Salman Khan

In the article, Lonkar said that Siddique’s proximity to Salman Khan and affiliations to underworld personalities Dawood Ibrahim and Anuj Thapan led to his killing. Anyone who assists Salman Khan or the Dawood gang should be ready since they would be under the crossfire of the gang.

Claiming responsibility for the murder of musician Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang—which gained notoriety—has said that they want to kill Salman Khan because of their alleged involvement in shooting blackbucks at Bawad in Mathania near Jodhpur in September 1998, during the filming of “Hum Saath Saath Hain”. The blackbuck sacred is considered by the Bishnoi group, so the claimed deed had offended them.

Following the firing incident, heightened security precautions have been taken near Salman Khan’s apartment, Galaxy Apartments in Bandra.

While a manhunt is looking for the third culprit, Shiv Kumar Gautam, the police are aggressively looking over the matter and have apprehended two suspects, Gurmail Baljit Singh and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap.

Apart from raising questions regarding Salman Khan’s safety, Baba Siddique’s murder underlined the continuous conflicts between the Bishnoi gang and the Bollywood actor. The gang’s threat reminds us sharply of the risks those connected to well-known people run.

The city stays under constant alert as the inquiry is underway, with authorities trying to guarantee everyone’s safety including all those engaged. The sad event has had a long-lasting effect on society and caused fresh attention to security and awareness.
