Bollywood Actor Govinda Hospitalized After Accidental Gunshot Injury
On October 1, 2024, in Mumbai, In a shocking event, Bollywood actor Govinda was taken to CritiCare Hospital early this morning after shooting himself in the leg by mistake. At around 4:45 AM, the accident happened at his home in Mumbai while he was carrying his registered revolver.
According to reports, the 60-year-old actor was preparing for an early flight to Kolkata when the accident happened
Govinda was reportedly cleaning his revolver when it slipped from his hand and discharged, causing a bullet injury just below his knee.
They took Govinda to CritiCare Hospital right away, where he had emergency surgery to remove the bullet. The star is in the intensive care unit (ICU) right now, but he is said to be safe. Tina Ahuja, his daughter, is with him at the hospital.

Govinda released an audio message from the hospital, thanking his fans and medical team for their support.
“With the blessings of my fans, my parents, and God, I am doing better now. The bullet has been removed, and I am feeling fine,” he said.
Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, who was traveling at the time of the incident, has rushed back to Mumbai. The actor’s fans and colleagues from the film industry have expressed their relief and sent their best wishes for his speedy recovery.
