Bengaluru, September 23, 2024 – A 29-year-old woman was found brutally killed in her Vyalikaval home. This horrible event has shocked people all over the city.

The victim, H. Mahalakshmi Das, was found with her body parts stored in a refrigerator after being cut up into about 50 pieces

On Saturday, a horrible finding occurred when neighbours smelled something bad coming from Mahalakshmi’s one-bedroom apartment. They told her family because they were worried, and when they got there, the front door was locked from the outside. When they walked in, they saw a frightening scene: bugs and blood stains all over the fridge. Inside, they found Mahalakshmi’s dismembered body.

The body parts were meticulously placed inside the 165-litre refrigerator, with her severed legs on the top shelf, other body parts in the middle, and her head at the bottom. When the cops arrived, the strong smell was so strong that it made some of them throw up.

The Bengaluru police have made an FIR under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The awful crime’s cause is still unknown, and the probe is still ongoing. Police have sent forensic experts and a dog team to the crime scene to do their work.

People have compared this to the murder of Shraddha Walkar in Delhi in 2022, in which the victim was also cut up in the same way. The neighborhood is shocked and trying to deal with how bad the crime is. The body of Mahalakshmi has been sent for an autopsy, and we are still waiting for the results.
